We are looking for a recent graduate seeking adventure, who loves travelling and wants to earn some cash. This is a priceless opportunity, as you will also have time to travel on the weekends, see the sights and explore new cultures.

You will be our Quality Guardian ensuring that every single item that leaves the factory is 100% perfect. This is a challenging but rewarding role as it will involve liaising with people from different cultures but it will be a learning experience of a lifetime. You’ll be responsible for preparing quality control checklists, approving counter samples, problem-solving production issues with the factory manager and reporting back on progress, status and suggestions to improve quality standards.

The internship will require you to travel to Jaipur, India, and be based there for 3 months. For the first two weeks you will be with a member of the Swoon Editions team who will help you set up a base there, train you and show you around.

Attitude and Aptitude
To succeed in this role you will have gumption – constantly demonstrating your resourcefulness and spirited initiative. You will also have an almost obsessive attention to detail to ensure that nothing slips through the net.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Visiting our suppliers’ factories to implement our Quality Control process at midline production and final stages,
• Approve every single item prior to packing against the agreed quality standards (zero tolerance policy),
• Oversee sample development; check sample production is on track and approval of counter swatches.

Deliverables:
• Quality Standard checklist for each product (initiated from the sample inspection) or suggestions to improve current ones to increase quality standards,
• Visit reports with date of visit, summary of time spent (highlight waiting around periods etc), photos of inspections, commentary on factory performance against agreed QC process, meeting minutes.
